Overview: Each solar PV slate has an output power rating of 23.83Wp with a visable area (installed) measuring 500mm wide x 384mm high per slate. PV slates are installed in the same overlapping style as traditional roof slates. Solar PV slates can either form the complete roof or integrated into existing slate, tile, metal and concrete roofs. The number of solar PV slates is flexible, full systems are designed based on aesthetic choices, power requirements, budgets and the characteristics of the property. |

Mounting Area: The ideal mounting area is on a due South facing roof at a pitch of between 35-40°. South East or South West facing roofs will see a reduction in power of between 2-5%. East or West facing roofs will see a reduction in power of between 10-25%. The flexible nature of a solar PV slate installation means that strings of slates can be installed strategically for maximum overall power gain throughout the day. Solar PV roof slates should only be installed at a roof pitch of greater then 18° for effective run off of rainwater. | ||||||||||||||
