Solar Power for Hotels

Welcome to In Balance Energy Systems: If you own or operate a hotel or are responsible for a facility with similar high energy demands then this section is for you. Below we introduce some innovative Solar PV Systems for generating Electricity and Solar Thermal Systems to provide large amounts of Hot Water.

Solar PV Roof Slates for Hotels Solar PV Roof Slates: For attractive, character and listed buildings where a Solar PV system needs to integrate seemlessly with the integrity and looks of a building we install Solar PV Roof Slates. These attractive Slates can cover whole roofs or roof sections depending on your energy requirement and preferences. Internally the system can be designed to charge batteries for off-grid operation, for powercut protection or electricity can be exported.
Solar PV Canopies Solar PV Canopies: From entrance foyets, recreation areas and window shades through to covers for car parks, Solar PV Canopies have the combined benifits of generating electricity, using unitilised space and providing shading to sunny areas. With many design options Solar PV Canopies can be designed to either make a bold statement or work away unnoticed. Systems are largely built off-site and often require few structural changes to the building itself; disruption to operations during installation can be kept to a minimum.
Solar Thermal Evacuated Tubes - Large System

Slimline Evacuated Tubes for Solar Thermal Hot Water: Providing constant hot water for clients, staff and industrial use is a challenge and important financial consideration for many hotels. Hot water generated locally using Slimline Solar Thernal Collectors can make a considerable difference to energy bills. A correctly sized and designed system could enable a hotel to generate all of the hot water required throughout spring, summer and Autumn locally. The nature of these collectors would also provide a noticable top up function during the winter further reducing the useage of boilers.

Other Areas to Consider:

Extra Large Solar Hot Water Systems: Solar Thermal systems can provide up to 2/3 of the hot water required throughout the year locally.

Communal Lighting, Lifts and Other Electrical Services: Electricity generating systems such as wind and photovoltaics can make significant differences to energy bills on demanding landlord services.

Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA): Many Renewable Energy Systems investments including most Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems and Solar Thermal hot water systems qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowance.
