Below we have illustrated the energy usage of appliances typically found in the home measured in watts, you can usually find the exact power usage of your appliances printed on the devices.
We assumed the appliances were plugged in all the time and used for the number of hours in the 'Used hrs' column; the 'On time' calculations take account of the fact that appliances such as fridges do not run on full power all of the time although they are working.
All calculation are based on usage per month. The Maths we used was: Watts x On-Time(%) x Used hrs /1000 = kWh per month.
