Eco Wood Boilers, Stoves & Fires
Eco Boilers, Stoves and Fires naturally complement other renewable energy systems such as Solar in the winter months and are also able to generate significant amounts of heat and hot water as stand alone systems, replacing traditional gas, coal and oil fired systems with a sustainable alternative.
When wood burns it produces virtually no sulphur and is CO2 neutral. The CO2 released into the atmosphere when the wood is burnt is equal to the amount of CO2 that would have returned to the atmosphere should a tree be left to die. If the wood is from a sustainable source then it is likely that new trees will be planted to replace the ones you use, taking CO2 from the atmosphere as they grow. Not allowing trees to die also prevents methane being created as would happen if a tree where to be left and allowed to rot.
Types of Eco Wood Boiler
- Wood Pellet - Burns small pellets of processed wood (look like small dog biscuits), can be automated to clean and fill themselves.
- Wood Chip - Often able to burn wood chips from your own source as well as pellets.
